Friday geethala muggulu chupinchandi

This is a very simple design with not frills and with only lotus patterns.  Draw on Sukravaram with kaavi powder for decoration , it will look divine .  The pictures should help learn the steps quickly. For Sankranthi geethala muggulu , Diwali muggulu designs and New Year rangoli muggulu - we can try this traditional rangoli. An important rangoli tip for this type of muggulu is that the lines should be as thin as possible.   The thinner the lines the more beautiful the design is. For getting thin lines we should take minimum quantity of muggu pindi.  Also the control between the thumb and index finger matters. The rangoli powder I use is a mixture of white muggu powder and rice flour in the ratio 3 : 1 Also the most important factor is practice, practice ...Draw the rangoli directly on the floor without the use of a piece of chalk or any other aid. Symmetry improves with time.  A bit tricky , I have tried to simplify with these pictures  Line muggulu are awesome and one of the best ra

Chukki rangoli 15 to 8 interlaced dots

Though the dot pattern is relatively big , it is quite a simple rangoli as can be seen from the steps shown through the pictures.  For our festival decoration like Sankranthi, Ugadi and Navaratri Next step in this chukki rangoli design for competition One of the easiest and best chukki rangoli designs     With colours it is beautiful but a simple one. During Dhanurmasam there is a tradition of placing kumbalakayi huvvu ( yellow in colour ) on a cow dung ball.  Around this four more are placed.  All are dried and used to boil water for bathing on Rathasapthami !!

Sankranthi peacock muggulu Nemali rangoli

The dot pattern is 9 by 5 placed horizontally.  Actually I wanted to draw a rangoli with 9 by dots placed vertically.   After placing the dots ( probably absent minded ) I realised that I had placed them as a horizontal grid.  So I decided to create a muggu and the result is seen in the images !! Dot pattern is 9 by 5  Peacock chukki rangoli through images  Only shading as been dont Navili rangoli with chukki can be drawn for New Year muggulu also.                                                                              Drawing rangoli on mud floor after sprinkling water , in the morning , when the whole world is silent except for few birds who have begun another day by chirping , is a divine experience. Nowadays we draw on cement floor or on tiles only

chukki rangoli 7 to 4

This is a tricky rangoli , hence I have included step by step images also.  If the patterns are drawn at a single stretch , the result will be beautiful without joints in the lines We can draw directly with rangoli colours too , using different colours , many combinations are possible.  The quality of colour powder should be good. If you are looking for 7 chukki rangoli , kolam 7 dos 4 for your daily purpose muggulu , this idea can be tried on any day of the week or festivals like Dasara , Sankranthi.                                             One of the many chukkala muggulu designs I have shared with steps Occasionally , I share images showing my green glass bangles because it has become sort of a trade mark.  When I change my bangles to any other colour, there is objection from the viewers .  They have doubts as to who is drawing that particular kolam.  Simple colour decoration can be done because there is little space in the patterns.  Having said that , the size of the patterns

Vellikizhamai Pooja arai kolam

Image
There are some traditional kolam designs that are drawn in the Pooja room particularly on Fridays ( Vellikizhamai in Tamil ) These designs are considered to represent Goddess Lakshmi and are usually in the shape of a lotus and hence they are not drawn  at the entrance of homes.  However the regular kolam drawn at the entrance are for welcoming Goddess Lakshmi  One of the many benefits of drawing this simple art is the positive thoughts and positive vibes that emanate when we draw it. We draw the Feet of  God or Goddess imagining that He / She is residing there to bless us.  I have used this them here too The images show the step by step procedure to draw this beautiful rangoli. 1) The dot pattern is 4 dots in 16 directions 2) Draw curved lines outside sets of three dots as shown in the pic 3)  After completion of lines in one direction , start drawing the other set of lines . 4)   Connect the 6th line after leaving 5 curved lines .  Continue ..   Draw Lakshmi Padham for Friday Poojai

chukki rangoli torresi four dots design

We can create a small and beautiful rangoli when we add patterns inside and outside. The beauty of drawing rangoli lies in the following 1)placing the dots with minimum quantity of rangoli powder which ensures that small dots are obtained . We shouldn't place dots that appear elongated.   2) Dots should disappear when the pattern appears. This is an important rangoli tip to create beautiful kolam.  Chukki rangoli small size through pics  2) Drawing thin lines to connect the dots , the thinner the line more attractive and more the mastery of the art. 3) Adding patterns inside , outside after completing the kolam . This shows our creativity.  Sky is the limit for us imagine and create or add patterns. If you need the steps , they are given in the photos below. The dot grid is 4 by 4 and the dots are placed inclined as shown Chukki rangoli kolam , the initial steps  Actually is a smaller version of a bigger 6-7 dots rangoli.  It resembles a basic Celtic knot ,  I think.  Don't kn
