Chikku kolangal are beautiful rangoli wherein lines are drawn around a dot pattern.  They are unique to South India. called sikku kolangal or neli kolam in Tamil, these chukki rangoli are  gantina rangoli in Kannada and melikala muggulu in Telugu.  In English they also go under the name of twisted , tangled rangoli
